Samsung TVs - Televisions From a Korean Industrial GiantSamsung is an industry leader in DLP TV manufacturing.Samsung TV sets are manufactured by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., which is a part of the Korean Samsung Group. Lee started his business as a small export company selling primarily dried fish, fruit, and vegetables to the Manchuria and Beijing regions of China. The Samsung business proved a success, and after a decade it would have four mills, and candy making operations, and continue to expand and diversify. Samsung Electronics was established in 1969, and in 1977 it started exporting color Samsung televisions. Since it entered the electronics business, Samsung introduced many innovations, including the world's first 1GHz CPU in 1999, the first super slim, perfectly flat cathode ray tube TV in 2000, and the world's largest (40 inch screen) LCD television in 2001. In 2002, the Samsung DLP TV won the Grand Award in the December issue of Popular Science magazine. This award, which is given to new technological products is considered very prestigious.
