Plasma TV Stands

The invention of flat screen plasma TV significantly increased the options one has for placing and mounting a TV in a home theater setting. The large box TVs can be either placed on a shelf or a cabinet, but due to plasma TVs' light weight and thin construction, plasma TV stands and mounts can also put big screen plasma televisions on a wall, hang them from a ceiling, and place them at the end of a long tilt and swivel arm. And of course since plasma TV sets are thin, they can't stand on their own, and therefore dedicated plasma TV stands are also required to put them on a flat surface like a tabletop.

The bad news that comes with all these wonderful TV mounting options is that plasma TV stands, like the TVs they are holding, are not cheap. But if you're already spending thousands of dollars on a new plasma television, spending a few hundreds more on a good plasma TV stand should not hurt too much.
